I've been a member of ODU's Chapter of NSBE since October 2017. This was my introduction to involvement on campus. As a freshman, engineering, and minority student on campus I wanted to figure what organizations offered the students. I was used to being on a sports team and gaining friends through those activities. Joining NSBE offered that same thing, just on the academic side and I loved it.

By the end of the spring semester of 2018, I have attended my first convention in Pittsburgh (NSBE 44th Annual Convention), applied for my first executive position, and develop strong relationships that I will always value and appreciate.

Today, I help recruit members into the organization, plan events, and contact ODU's faculty to the NSBE community.
