The Nu Theta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. was the second organization I joined. The Alpha fraternity brothers were basically the leaders on the campus I walked across. From NSBE to the Student Government Association, they were a part of it and leading the way. I always planned on joining a fraternity and when I discovered Alpha Phi Alpha, it was the perfect fit for me.

Since joining the chapter, I have greatly enhanced my  communications, organizational, and leadership skills. The chapter utilizes Robert's Rules of Order in Chapter Meetings, a rigorous planning process for events, and the brothers force only the best out of you due to expectations and high standards. Not only do we host great events on campus, but as a service organization we service Norfolk through volunteered service as mentors, volunteers, and speakers. For the 2019 - 2020 year, I served the chapter as the Recording Secretary and the Treasurer. For the 2020-2021 year, I lead the chapter from the President position.

We also work closely with our graduate chapter located in Portsmouth. They support our chapter by excelling our thinking, planning, and executing in all areas.
